Welcome to Lola Bloom Photography! My name is Michelle, owner and the one behind the lens.

 

 For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a creative soul. Always drawn to an artistic process and watching others create. Combining that with the ability to really get lost in a moment, and feel emotions fully, photography has always felt like a natural creative outlet for me. What was once a hobby to capture friends, family and trips had turned into something much deeper than that. My goal when I set out to do photography professionally was to capture emotion in my images. I wanted people to see an image and for there to be a feeling attached to it.

Today, I mostly do family and brand photography. As a mom myself, I know how fleeting time can be and how meaningful it is having beautiful pictures to look back on. In addition to families, working with local woman owned businesses is a big passion of mine. Photographing them in their work and life behind the scenes, it feels exciting to watch them grow their business and take it to the next level with professional and consistent images.

• I'm a wife to a man I grew up down the street from and a mom to two little girls, Lorelai (Lola) June + Leona Bloom.

• I was once an online handmade business owner. I had an Etsy shop and it opened my eyes to a big creative community I didn't know was out there.

• I'm a little bit addicted to coffee. Before the pandemic, I worked at a local coffee shop in Kentucky where we used to live. I not only love the art and science to coffee making, but I also love the way coffee can bring people together and the community in it. 

• Music is always on at my house. 

• I've become a plant mom, and surprisingly I'm learning to keep them alive. Mostly.

• We've moved so many times that everyone knows not to write our address down in pen.
